South of the best-known East District shopping streets, this pocket offers three distinct roaster experiences. It stretches from the original RUFOUS on Fuxing South Road toward Jiaxing Park and Moonshine’s Dunnan flagship.

MAKE AN AFTERNOON OF IT
Start at RUFOUS near Technology Building station, then choose a second stop at Moonshine or Mountain Kids by Jiaxing Park. Continue through the lanes between them; save the other café for another day.
Warm lighting, a bar wrapped in postcards and artwork, and a serious roasting program give the original RUFOUS its particular appeal. Choose this Da’an shop for an intimate coffee stop; the room’s personality is as strong a reason to come as the bean shelf.
OUR SUGGESTED ORDER
A single-origin filter coffee; ask about the current cold-drip offering if you prefer something chilled.
Before you goStart from Technology Building station. Older photos can show the former adjacent address; this guide uses number 339.
The Jiaxing shop is the softer park-side expression of Mountain Kids. Its bright, simple room makes a useful change of pace from the darker RUFOUS bar, and gives the southeastern Da’an lanes a coffee-and-dessert stop with a clear roasting identity.
OUR SUGGESTED ORDER
A latte or a single-origin black coffee, then see which house sweets are available.
Before you goLook beside Jiaxing Park. Do not follow photos of the North Gate building to this branch.
Moonshine is a purposeful roaster stop in the lanes south of central Da’an. Choose it when you want to spend the visit on the coffee selection, then buy beans for home. It pairs sensibly with the Jiaxing pocket rather than with a hurried circuit of the whole district.
OUR SUGGESTED ORDER
A single-origin filter coffee; ask which beans are best suited to your home brewer.
Before you goUse the Dunnan flagship address. Listings for the older Coffee Atelier on Siwei Road describe a different location.
